Hibernia Networks has expanded its Point-of-Presence (PoP) for optical, Ethernet and IP services at Fibre Centre, a neutral data centre and meet-me-room in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada

As well as providing access to Hibernia Networks’ IP Transit service with more than 800 peering interconnects, the PoP location facilitates high performance and scalable optical and Ethernet connectivity required by regional businesses seeking enhanced international reach.

Hibernia Networks believes that providing connectivity services through Fibre Centre enables customers to benefit from its low-latency routes between North America, Europe and the rest of the world, leveraging Hibernia Express, its transatlantic cable.

Hunter Newby, co-owner of Fibre Centre said: "Hibernia Networks’ investment in upgrading its presence to becoming a core node on their global network is a testament to the strategic importance of Moncton as a centre of commerce."
